The Sunday Currently vol. 6

CURRENTLY

Reading

Onboarding documents from our Therapists. I've been assigned to work on our Therapy account alongside my main role in Customer Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our ever-evolving company.

Writing

a simplified Therapist Progress Roadmap.

Listening

to the soothing hum of the air conditioner.

Thinking

of planning out my agenda for next week. Luckily, Monday's a holiday, so the kiddos get a break from school. I'm already brainstorming how to prep their school lunches and snacks for the remaining four days. 😅🍱📅

Smelling

Coconut Passion. I asked my sister to grab me a Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion fragrance mist during her visit to the mall about two weeks ago. Life's been so hectic that I haven't even had a moment to unbox my treats. Oh, and I couldn't resist grabbing a travel-sized pack and fragrance mist of Bare Vanilla! I really love fragrance scents.

Wishing

I've been dreaming of a family vacation abroad, but life's been a whirlwind lately. The kids are back to in-person school, and I'm swamped with work. There's just so much to juggle right now.

Hoping

to win the lottery though I haven't even buy one. It would be a dream come true, allowing me to enjoy life without constantly stressing over expenses. It's one of the challenges of freelancing; as a contractor, you can lose your contract at any time due to unforeseen events. The uncertainty keeps you on your toes; you never really know what's coming.

Wearing

a white "Be Still" shirt paired with Aztec-print boxer shorts.

Loving

the food supplement drink I picked up a few weeks back. Avocado Freshies and Coffee Bean flavors are my absolute favorites! 🥑☕😋

Wanting

to teleport and whisk my family away to Tokyo, Japan. A visit to Tokyo Disneyland would be incredible; my kiddos would be over the moon and would absolutely adore it! Not sure where that idea came from (lol), but it sounds amazing! 💖

Needing

A whole week of paid time off sounds fantastic, doesn't it? Yet, as a freelancer, my income is tied to the hours I put in - no work, no pay. It would be amazing to be recognized with a week off for a job well done, or even better a salary boost. I can't recall the last time I had one; I think it was back in 2020.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to my company, and I genuinely love my job. It's just that a little recognition would mean the world. I wholeheartedly believe I've earned it.

Feeling

immensely grateful for every blessing that comes our family's way, regardless if big or small. It's heartwarming to witness my kids growing into responsible individuals.

Just a few days ago, I discovered that my 10-year-old son has set up his own alarm to get ready for school so they won't be late. It's a significant milestone. He's making impressive progress by actively engaging in group activities and showing initiative in attending tutor classes to get help with his assignments. To be honest, it's becoming a challenge I can't handle alone. With my nighttime work schedule while they sleep, and continuing to work until they head to school, there's barely any time left for me to assist with their assignments. Thank God for their tutor class.

I'm confident my youngest son will find his way too. What truly matters is that they're developing their personalities and becoming more responsible each day. For me, that's more than enough... 🙏💕👦📚

Spreading Smiles Through Unexpected Heartfelt Messages

I've got an awesome story to share that put a big old grin on my face. So, here's the scoop:

I just received a message from a former team member, and it started with a bit of humor - "OA" or overacting, to be precise! Now, that got me laughing, but what came next was even better - a heartfelt message of gratitude.

Now, don't get me wrong; I've received messages before, but this one was different. It's not every day that a former teammate reaches out in such a touching way.

What struck me most was how the values and approaches we discussed during our time working together left a lasting impression. She mentioned that during a chat with the CEO, she couldn't help but recall our conversations. It got me thinking about how the little pearls of wisdom, methodologies and discipline we share can have an impact that ripples far and wide, even into unexpected places.

I genuinely appreciated the message and, more importantly, the sentiment behind it. It's a reminder that the small things we do in our roles can make a big difference in the lives of our colleagues. Plus, it reinforces the power of expressing gratitude.

Now, here's something important: The message mentioned a bit of hesitation about reaching out unexpectedly. Well, let me tell you, NEVER HOLD BACK FROM SHARING YOUR APPRECIATION. Your words, even when unexpected, can light up someone's day. Just like this message did for me.

Let me raise a virtual toast to those beautiful moments of gratitude and to all the wonderful souls who take the time to say, "Thank you." It truly means the world. And to the awesome person who sent me that heartfelt message - a huge "Thank you" right back at you! 💗

Show Don’t Tell

Time to crank up the volume on the epic saga called "Show, Don't Tell!" Your actions? They're like the blockbuster movie that leaves everyone speechless.

Imagine this: you're the director, the star, and the scriptwriter all in one. Every step you take, every choice you make – it's all part of your Oscar-worthy performance.

True pals?
They're the first ones in line, popcorn in hand, giving you a standing ovation for your life's masterpiece. They'll be clapping like crazy. And those skeptics? They might as well be stuck in a silent movie, 'cause your actions? They're speaking in IMAX surround sound! Don't waste your energy – they've got earplugs in, anyway!

So, let's keep painting the town with actions, dazzling the world with brilliance, and never mind the critics who've got their ears plugged with negativity. Your show's the one worth watching!
Keep being amazing!

You still are a WonderWoMom. ❤️

You know, being a full-time work-from-home mom, and juggling side hustle online business, there are times when I doubt myself...

I feel like I'm not doing enough.
I worry I'm not giving enough.
I wonder if I'm being enough.

It's a challenge to keep up.
Between their needs,
Their constant demands,
It can get overwhelming.

Sometimes, as a mother, I question myself...

Am I providing enough for everyone?
Am I patient enough with them?
Am I putting in enough effort?

The never-ending laundry,
The cooking that never stops,
And the never-clean house
...it all piles up, doesn't it?

There are moments when I question if I'm loving them enough,
If I'm caring for them enough,
If I'm truly there for them enough.

The pressure can be immense,
It's like there's this invisible weight on my shoulders,
The stress can feel suffocating, it always likes to tag along.
And that mom guilt, it's always lurking.

But here's the kicker, my friend – despite all these doubts and worries, there's one thing I know for sure…

I love them with all my heart.
I pour everything I have into them.
And you know what? For me, that's more than enough.

Because, amidst all the chaos, the running around, and the endless to-dos, there are those precious moments when they smile, when they hug you tight, and when you realize that, yes, you are doing enough. Your love, care, and presence are making a difference. You're juggling so much, yet you're still their superhero.

So, even when you doubt yourself, remember that your love shines through. You're a mother who gives her all, and that, my dear, is nothing short of amazing. You still are a WonderWoMom. ❤️

Unsung Heroes of Love and Family

Ever wondered who the unsung heroes of love and sacrifice are? Have you met some incredible people who redefine what it means to be a family?

Step parents step up with hearts full of love and unwavering spirits where blended families come with unique challenges. They embrace their role with open arms, choosing to support, uplift, and nurture their stepchildren as if they were their own. It's a journey that demands immeasurable strength.

They choose a road where love isn't about genes, but about having a big heart. They make sacrifices that often fly under the radar, their hard work not getting the credit it deserves. But let me tell you, they make a a huge impact - a massive difference. Step parents craft connections with patience and genuine care, proving that family is more than just genes. They show that family goes beyond DNA.

Big shoutout to all the step moms and step dads out there who stepped up as guiding lights, comforting souls, and loving hearts – you rock! Your journey is one of courage, compassion, genuine care, patience and boundless love. You embody the role of selfless warriors. Kudos to you!

Reflections on 'The 5 Dysfunctions' Workshop

So, I just wrapped up this virtual seminar/workshop on "The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team," and let me tell you, it was like a lightbulb moment for me. The whole vibe was pretty chill and laid-back, which made diving into the nitty-gritty of team dynamics way more interesting.

First off, trust – they hammered home how insanely important it is. Like, if you don't have trust among team members, you're basically building on a shaky foundation. It got me thinking about how I can be more open and real with my team. You know, letting the guard down and being authentic.

Then there's the idea that conflict isn't necessarily a bad thing. I mean, we all hate disagreements, right? But this workshop flipped that idea. They said conflict, the healthy kind, where everyone's got their say, can actually lead to kickass decisions. I'm seeing my fear of clashes in a new light now – they're like a workout for better teamwork.

Commitment was another bomb-drop. They said it's not enough to nod along in a meeting and then secretly not be on board. Like, you gotta voice your opinions, but once the decision's made, you're all in. Made me reflect on those times when I've kinda held back after not getting my way. It's time to either get with the program or speak up and get on board.

And get this – holding each other accountable is gold. It's not about pointing fingers when someone messes up, but more like pushing each other to do our best. I'm guilty of letting stuff slide to avoid drama, but now I'm thinking, maybe a little healthy nudge is what the team needs.

Last but not least, results. The big picture stuff. It hit me that individual glory is cool and all, but if the team as a whole isn't killing it, what's the point? So, I'm reevaluating how I contribute to the team's goals, making sure my efforts jive with what we're all trying to achieve together.

Bottom line, this workshop was a game-changer. No fancy suits or uptight presentations, just real talk about how to make teams work like a charm. I'm walking away with this new perspective on trust, conflict, commitment, accountability, and results, and I'm stoked to put these insights into action with my own team.

The Sunday Currently Vol. 5

CURRENTLY

Reading

Scrolling through this Threads feed is really soothing. It's like a throwback to when Twitter was all chill and laid-back. I used to just spill my thoughts without a care, not bothered about who was reading. But man, things took a nasty turn as time went on. The whole vibe got toxic, and I was like, "Nah, I'm out." So, I took a break from the Twitter world for a while.

Writing

Chillin' on this Sunday, kicking it on the current volume of The Sunday Currently for my blog post entry. I had big plans to make this a regular gig for my blog posts, but truth be told, finding time to work on my blogs has been a struggle. Life's just been all over the place.

Listening

Jamming out to the husband's lead guitar strums echoing from his recording studio while I'm working on this blog post.

Thinking

I've been racking my brain about scoring some passive income. Got a bunch of ideas swirling around, but honestly, I'm stuck in decision limbo. Thinking of snagging a coach to help me figure out which road to take.

Smelling

the homemade Strawberry Kisses room and linen spray I whipped up a few months back. Seriously diggin' the way it makes our air-conditioned room smell.

Wishing

Gotta figure out how to turn my money into some sweet passive income or maybe even grow it into valuable assets.

Hoping

to get the final thumbs-up on my kiddo's lab test results. This was round three to rule out that pesky UTI. So relieved to see his health has made major strides from a couple of weeks back. Thank you PapaGod.

Wearing

Rockin' a black Mickey shirt and some cool checkered boxers today

Loving

My heart's full watching the kiddos' excitement as they can't stop blabbering about their day. Super fun Sunday – hit the mall after my youngest one's lab tests. Lunch at Max's rocked! Thrilled to see them both clean their plates and even ask for seconds. Miniso shopping haul after, and then a blast at Tom's World. Avengers and Slam Dunk action figures were the target, but they scored just under 2000 tickets. Their haul? A cool stash of Detective Conan pens, NBA pens, a husky keychain, and a bunch of alphabet erasers. Not too shabby! Next round, champs!

Also diggin' this new supplement drink – it's yogurt with a twist of lemon and cucumber.

Wanting

Trying to wrap my head around our travel plans for this year, but I'm in a totally torn about whether to stash that cash for the business instead.

Needing

Craving a chill spa session right now.

Feeling

Feeling pretty upbeat this week about juggling full-time mom duties with working from home. The kiddo's onto the second week of school, and unlike last year's struggle without any extra hands, I've found a groove. Last school year was a turning point, so fingers crossed for a smoother ride this time around!
