Navigating Emotions and Uncertainty

Annulment can be an incredibly emotional and challenging experience, especially for children. It's the realization that a marriage, which was once thought to be a lifelong commitment, has come to an end. This brings forth a wave of turbulent emotions and an overwhelming sense of uncertainty. What makes this situation even more complex is that, amid your own emotional struggles, you must provide support to someone who may be even more frightened and uncertain than you are – your children.

For a child, their parents are the cornerstone of their world. While they have friends and extended family, it's the unwavering love and support of their mother and father that they have always counted on. But as the harsh reality of annulment takes hold, children come to realize that their parents will no longer be living together. This realization brings confusion and a fear of the unknown. They begin to question what the future holds for them.

This period can be incredibly bewildering for a child. It becomes apparent that their parents no longer have a harmonious relationship, and the child wonders if their parents will continue to love them as they always have. They grapple with concerns about showing affection to one parent and whether the other will disapprove. They may question who is at fault for the annulment, whether it's their mother or their father. Children may even ponder if their own behavior contributed to their parents' disagreements, and whether they could have done things differently to prevent this situation.

The Ex Factor

Barbara and Jeb's 15-year marriage had its share of differences, but the last two years had seen their relationship deteriorate significantly. Each day ended with heated arguments, leaving their children, Kevin (11) and Katy (7), emotionally burdened.

When Barbara and Jeb decided on an annulment, their custody battle prolonged their emotional strife. Barbara's busy work schedule left her with little time for her children, leading to academic decline and the kids becoming shadows of their former selves.

Katy's poignant school assignment revealed her fears of abandonment, prompting Barbara and Jeb to put their children's needs first. They assured Kevin and Katy that the annulment was not their fault and that they would always be loved.

Barbara gained custody, but Jeb moved nearby to remain involved in their children's lives. Two years later, they could take a family vacation without reopening old wounds, and Kevin and Katy were on their way to healing. This book offers ideas, strategies, and tips for those facing annulment while prioritizing their children's well-being.

When facing challenging situations like annulment, it's essential for parents to make their children's emotional well-being a top priority. By maintaining open and empathetic communication and by committing to placing their kids' needs first, it's possible to promote healing and ensure a positive outcome for all family members involved. Regardless of the difficulties encountered, love, support, and understanding can help children navigate the complexities of family changes and emerge from the experience stronger.

The Sunday Currently vol. 12

Recapping the week

As a work from home mom, some days are a whirlwind of mystery, games, and tackling a never-ending to-do list. This week was one of those, and it was nothing short of an adventure. Let me take you through how the week unfolded.

Our youngest, Dime, treated us to a delightful surprise – a YouTube game of "Mystery and Would You Rather." The creative questions and offbeat scenarios had the entire family in stitches, including my husband and our eldest son. Questions like, "Would you rather live in a treehouse with no Wi-Fi or in a high-tech house with no windows?" had us all laughing, turning even the dreariest morning into a brighter and more cheerful one.

We took Cheeky, our 3-month-old female husky, to the vet. I'm excited to share that she's gained some healthy weight, and the vet confirmed she's in great shape. To top it off, she got her 6-in-1 vaccine. It's all part of our little husky's adventure!

I found myself feeling under the weather, delivering a dose of cold and gloom. I'm not one to stay in bed often, but that day was an exception, a sign that I really wasn't feeling my best. Yet, it didn't succeed in dampening my spirits.

I had the opportunity to unbox the online deliveries that had piled up. There's something oddly satisfying about tearing through packaging. From everyday essentials to a few indulgent treats, it felt like Christmas morning, even in the middle of the week. Maybe that's the reason I got better.

Aside from being a full time work from home mom, I run a small business that revolves around creating and selling scents and blends. I did some refilling 10ml decants of different blends and signature perfumes. Mixing and blending, each one telling a unique story. It's a labor of love that keeps me connected to my creative side that I didn't know I have.

This week was all about embracing the unpredictability of life, from kid's games to juggling the everyday grind. The weather might have been a bit of a party pooper, but we managed to create our own sunshine. It's the mix of mystery, adventures, laughter, and handling the grown-up stuff that keeps life exciting. It's these small moments that makes it a memorable journey full of surprises and insights.

CURRENTLY

Reading

Got some scent and blend orders from friends and resellers for Christmas.

Writing

Due dates for my upcoming deliveries. It's a busy time, and I want to make sure everything arrives on schedule.

Listening

to the soothing hum of the air conditioning. It's a simple pleasure that helps me  find some peace in the moment while I plan next week.

Thinking

I'm figuring out how to jumpstart the marketing for my remaining perfume blends, scented candles, linen sprays, diffusers, and sanitizers. TikTok ads are a no-go, so I'm on the hunt for the right social media platform to maximize sales conversion. It's time to navigate the digital landscape and find the platform that can turn clicks into actual sales effectively.

Smelling

the sweet aroma of the vanilla ice cream room and linen spray I blended. It's a small pleasure that adds warmth to our room. Creating these scents is a passion of mine, and it brings a cozy ambiance to my surroundings.

Wishing

Still keeping my fingers crossed for a little paid time off and that elusive lottery jackpot. It's the dream we all secretly share, that one big win that could make life a bit more extraordinary.

Hoping

that we can finally make our dream trip to Japan. Have an absolute blast at Tokyo Disneyland. Just the thought of it gets the kids all excited! It's one of those bucket-list adventures that we've been daydreaming about, and the anticipation is building. It's not just a vacation; it's a chance to create unforgettable memories with the family, and that's what makes it even more special. Fingers crossed that our Japan dream becomes a reality!

Wearing

Today's fashion choice: a stylish gray Bulgari shirt paired with comfy pastel blue floral boxers.

Loving

Absolutely cherishing this week's break, all thanks to the kids being on a long vacation. It's a breath of fresh air, offering a well-deserved pause from the usual daily hustle and bustle. There's no school rush or early morning chaos.

Wanting

I'm eagerly awaiting a sign to see if this opportunity is truly meant for me. Funny how life can surprise us with unexpected chances. Never imagined that such an opportunity would come knocking at my door. It's a mix of excitement, uncertainty, and curiosity, all bundled into one, and I can't wait to see where it leads.

Needing

I'm seriously needing some antioxidants and a good dose of vitamin C, but with my jam-packed schedule, finding the time is like a treasure hunt. My health deserves a spot on my priority list, and I'm on a mission to squeeze in those essential nutrients, even in the midst of my busy routine.

Feeling

Riding the wave of positivity, firmly believing that if something is destined for me, it will find its way, and the timing will be just right. I never actively sought this opportunity; it arrived unexpectedly, knocking at my door. So, I'm eagerly waiting to see how this chapter unfolds. If it's meant to be, I'll undoubtedly embrace it. If not, I trust that there are bigger and better things waiting for me, all in their own perfect time.

Unseen Struggles

In her daily life as a full-time work-from-home mom, she faces countless challenges and pressures. Her family remains unaware of the daily balancing act between her job and household responsibilities, just as her workplace remains oblivious to the intricacies of her personal life.

Her peers, friends, and loved ones may struggle to comprehend the magnitude of the responsibilities she juggles, both old and new. Despite her best efforts to communicate, her partner often fails to fully grasp the immense pressure she experiences.

The bottom line is, she's in this journey largely on her own. Few can truly empathize with her situation, and perhaps, her efforts go undervalued by those around her.

Nevertheless, she soldiers on, fighting through each day, and most importantly, taking care of herself. 🌟💪 Because in the end, she knows that she's her own best advocate, and that's what truly matters.

Cherish the Love

It's been over two decades since I had to say goodbye, but you're a significant part of my life.

Your laughter, your quirks, they all continue to bring a smile to my face, even through the tears. Time has passed, but you remain deeply etched in my heart, leaving an indelible mark on my life.

Though you're not here in the physical sense, your memory continues to guide me. Rest in peace, dear son. Your spirit lives on, and I will always hold you close in my heart.

The Sunday Currently vol. 11

Recapping last two weeks

Sorry for not catching up the last two Sundays; life's been a rollercoaster lately. Let me fill you in on what's been happening in our world. We've welcomed two new furry family members into our home, Coco and Cheeky, who are a 1-year-old and a 3-month-old pair of adorable huskies. It took some time to decide when the right moment was to bring them home. You know, having pets is no joke, and it's a big deal.

We waited for the perfect moment to bring them home, ensuring that everything was in order. This included making our living space pet-friendly, gathering the necessary supplies, and setting up a routine to ensure they receive the love and care they deserve. We're over the moon about this new adventure, but we're also well aware that it's a major responsibility, and we're all in for making their lives the best they can be.

My stepdaughter paid us a visit over the weekend last week. It was a short break, but even with my hectic schedule, I managed to set aside some time for quality time. We made a quick detour to the mall for a short relaxing massage, swung by Jollibee's drive-thru for a tasty treat, and then dropped her off at the bus station.

The kiddos completed their creative drawing class, and I'm absolutely delighted with their progress. We've decided to keep the art train rolling and dive into the basics of drawing to really hone their skills. These past few weeks have been quite hectic, primarily because the kids had to gear up for their first set of quarterly examsNow that they're on a nice, long break from school, I've finally got a chance to catch up on my writing – a much-needed breather in the midst of our busy schedules.

CURRENTLY

Thinking

Contemplating our family vacation plans for the kiddos long break.

Smelling

Savoring the delightful aroma in our room, filled with the fresh scent of bamboo room and linen spray that I personally blended.

Wishing

Just going with the flow, looking for a sign to show me the way. I believe in manifesting, but I also trust that if things don't work out, there's a good reason behind it. Let's see how it all goes down.

Hoping

Just going with the flow, looking for a sign to show me the way. I believe in manifesting, but I also trust that if things don't work out, there's a good reason behind it. Let's see how it all goes down.

Wearing

Rocking the all-pink look with a pink mom mode shirt and matching boxers.

Loving

Absolutely loving our huskies, and the idea of the kids having a week-long vacation has me thrilled. It means I can finally relax without the usual rush of juggling work and school preparations in the mornings.

Wanting

Still craving a chill family vacation, but this time with the new members of our family - Coco and Cheeky,

Needing

I could really use some antioxidants and vitamin C, but it's been over a month since I last made it to the wellness clinic due to my crazy schedule.

Feeling

Got a positive vibe, believing that if something is meant for me, it'll work its way. It'll happen when it's right. But if not, it's because He has bigger and better things in store for me, all in due time.

Irreplaceable Mom's Love

You know what it's like, being a mom?

A mom kind of mends her own heart while patching up yours when it breaks.

She'll quickly pull your hair back and rush to grab your favorite toy, even if it means being a tad late.

She sort of borrows a bit of her own mojo to help you reach new heights.

Even after a crazy day, she somehow finds the energy to wipe away your tears.

A mom's the one who always sees your value, even when you can't.

She believes you should have nothing but the best and will do everything to make it happen.

A mom knows that her job is more than just being there. It's about being present, about sharing in your joys and wiping away your tears. It's about providing a safe harbor in the stormy sea of life and being your biggest cheerleader on the sidelines.

A mom understands that you're a work in progress, and she's there to help you become the best version of yourself. She'll celebrate your victories and console you in your defeats, all the while helping you find the strength within.

A mom's love is like a guiding light, showing you the way even in the darkest of times. It's a love that nurtures, encourages, never gives up, never wavers, and never fades. a love that truly knows no bounds, and it's a love that you'll carry with you, always and forever.

The Magic of Being a Mom

Being a mom is a rollercoaster ride, isn't it? It's all about love, laughter, and sometimes a little chaos. But in this adventure, two superpowers shine brightly: patience and understanding.

Picture this: spilled cereal, a tantrum in the toy aisle, or crayon masterpieces on your walls. Patience is your BFF here. It's what keeps you from losing it when things get crazy. Your child is learning, exploring, and making messes along the way. Your patience? It's their safety net, teaching them how to navigate this big, new world.

Understanding is like the glue that holds your mom-and-kid bond together. It's not just about hearing what your child says; it's about getting where they're coming from. When they share their fears, dreams, and even their wild stories, being understanding makes them feel seen and heard. That trust is priceless.

Sure, there are times when it feels like patience is running on empty, and understanding seems like a distant dream. That's okay! Every mom has those moments. Lean on other parents for support, celebrate even the tiniest victories, and remember, being a patient and understanding mom is a journey, not a destination. You're shaping an incredible future, one patient, understanding step at a time.

Finding Hope Amidst Darkness

Today, we’re confronted with a heartbreaking news. A family friend who was battling depression, has tragically passed away. It is a painful reminder that depression is an all-too-real struggle, regardless of any skepticism. There are challenges many face in silence, and there are invisible battles and silent struggles many endure.

To anyone battling with depression, please remember that YOU MATTER, and you matter a lot. Your inner strength is far more greater than you may realize. When things get tough and it feels like a heavy weight, remember you're not alone. Reach out, don't hesitate to seek help. There are people who care, who want to stand with you, and who get what you're going through.

Depression doesn't define you; your courage, and incredible spirit do. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. There are people who stand beside you and empathize with your battle. Lean on them when needed and let them remind you of your worth. We will remind YOU ARE WORTHY. Your life is invaluable. 🙏

Invisible Battles

"The scars you can't see are the hardest to heal."

Isn't it wild how life paints these invisible marks on us, lingering beneath the surface like secrets whispered to the wind? It's like a battle fought in shadows, where the pain is real but often unnoticed.

You’re a warrior, tending to wounds that aren't visible to the eye. It's like crafting armor from your own resilience, slowly stitching together the tapestry of your spirit.

Healing? It's a journey that only the bravest undertake. It's about embracing your vulnerability, seeking light in the darkness, and finding solace in the fact that even the most delicate scars tell stories of strength.

Raise a glass to those hidden scars, to the battles fought in silence, and to the indomitable spirit that shines through. Share this with a friend who's healing their unseen scars, and let's toast to the beauty of resilience and the power of the human heart.

The Sunday Currently vol. 10

Recapping the week

I began my week by unboxing my new iPhone 14 Pro Max from Globe. A fantastic way to start things off! Exciting! Although, I've been under the weather lately, so I decided to take a break from work and give myself some much-needed rest.

I had to go to school because my youngest son misbehaved in class. It was quite stressful, but I had a talk with Dime with his class adviser, Guidance Counsellor and Assistant Principal and made sure he's committed to improving his behavior. I believe in him, and I know he'll do his best to become a better kid.

On the weekends, the kids resumed their drawing classes after the eldest's karate class. It's great to see them explore their creativity through these classes.

On a personal note, I've decided to reintroduce intermittent fasting and a low-carb diet into my routine. It feels like the perfect moment to focus on my health and well-being once again.

However, due to the busy school schedules, work commitments, and ongoing home renovations, I haven't been able to prioritize it yet. Besides, I haven't managed to get a cage for the dogs yet.

Dear Sons

Believe in yourself, even when those you hoped would support you don't. Your dreams are yours to chase, and it all starts with your determination.

Let their doubts be your motivation, not your roadblock. Let it fuel your fire, not dim your light. Your journey is shaped by your determination, not their judgments. Embrace the uncertainty, and remember, you're the one in control. You’re the captain of your dreams.
Trust your vision, work hard, and show yourself you’ve got this. It won’t be a walk in the park for sure. It's going to be tough, no doubt about it. Hold onto hope, and place God at the core. Keep up the fight and never ever give up. Don’t forget - your self-belief is the key to turning dreams into reality.

And always remember this, you have a mom who will always have your back - cheering you on from the sidelines. I’ll always be your constant, just as you are to me.

Monday, October 2, 2023

Make your choice wisely, not just for yourself but also for your child or children.

If I could offer some advice to the younger generation about choosing a life partner, I'd say, marry the person who will be the best parent for your children. Find someone who will prioritize your family above all else. Look for a partner who shares the responsibility of raising a family because you're in it together. In short, marry the person who sets a high standard for a spouse in the eyes of your children. Later in marriage, when you enter parenthood, you'll discover that what you truly wish for in your spouse goes beyond wealth or a perfect physique. While a good-looking face and financial stability are nice bonuses, there's really more than that. At wee hours, when your child is crying, and you're exhausted from postpartum fatigue, it won't be their looks or wealth that matter. It's the compassion in their heart and the love they have for you that will urge them out of bed. They'll tend to the child and tell you, "Get some rest, my love. I've got this." From the toddler years to the first day of school, the journey is relentless and heartwarming tale of love and sacrifice. It begins with sleepless nights, soothing cries, and endless diaper changes. As your little one takes their first steps, your world revolves around ensuring their safety and nourishment. But it doesn't stop there; it's just the beginning. Preparing snacks and lunches becomes a daily ritual, carefully crafting meals that balance nutrition and taste. You strive to pack a little bit of home in their lunchbox, knowing that their favorite snack can brighten their day. The journey continues as they enter school. Homework assignments and school projects become a shared challenge. You become their guide, their source of knowledge and inspiration. You patiently help them with math problems that seem like a foreign language and assist them in creating those elaborate science fair displays.

Through all these phases, there's one constant wish – to have a responsible father to share in the sacrifices. It's not about having someone else to do the work; it's about having a partner who understands the weight of these responsibilities and willingly carries the load with you. Choosing a life partner who can and will share in these sacrifices is not just a matter of convenience; it's an investment in the well-being of your family. It's about finding a man who values teamwork and understands that parenting is a shared journey. Together, you create a supportive, loving environment where your children thrive, and you, as parents, find strength in each other. Because in all of these moments, whenever you watch your partner with your children, you'll find yourself falling in love all over again.

The Sunday Currently vol. 9

 Recapping the week

I had a super busy week running errands. Even though it wasn't my usual job, I ended up picking up the kids from school a few times just to hang out with them.

There was this school event where they could bring their smartphones and iPads. I was a bit worried at first, especially because my youngest keeps losing his water tumbler like four times already. But he really wanted me to trust him, so I gave in with a few reminders. My older one is pretty responsible, and he even sent me snaps and videos from school, showing how much fun he was having. Luckily, their gadgets were still in one piece when I picked them up, and they excitedly shared all the school event stories with me.

Today, we swung by National Bookstore to grab some stuff for their Drawing class. Dime loves to draw, so we thought we'd keep up with their classes. Uno is sticking with karate on weekends, and their classes are starting again next week because of a team competition.

CURRENTLY

Reading

I'm reviewing the insurance policies I purchased for the kids through Singlife and setting a college fund goal for them in a few years. I also bought an HMO package for myself, which I completely forgot to renew last year.

Writing

Tracking expenses for October, and nearly halfway through planning the month. I'm in the process of budgeting for our other insurance policies. It's crucial to plan it out carefully to ensure long-term benefits.

Listening

Currently playing "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, and it seems I got stuck on repeat because my eldest son absolutely loves the song.

Thinking

I've been thinking about ways to increase my retirement savings. I'm giving serious thought to getting into stock vesting.

Smelling

Enjoying the fragrance of strawberries and champagne lingering in the air, thanks to the room and linen spray I used generously.

Wishing

I know winning the lottery is just a wishful thought. It's funny how I keep wishing for it, even though I never actually buy a ticket. 😄 But that dream just keeps popping up in my mind.

Hoping

Looking forward to a relaxing family vacation, either in Tokyo or Seoul.

Wearing

Sporting a loose Luffy One Piece shirt paired with pastel green boxers.

Loving

Adoring my little ones, I'd do anything for them in a heartbeat. I'd love to maintain good health so that I can continue caring for them while guiding them through life's trials and hardships. It's funny; Dime even granted me permission to hit the gym, but I'm simply not at ease going there alone. 😄

Wanting

For a firm resolve, I find myself trapped within a cosmic whirlpool of indecision.

Needing

Some peace of mind amid all the chaos. It feels like certain choices haven't been leading anywhere, and it's been a source of disappointment. Should I brush it off or confront it? There are so many factors to weigh, and they often disrupt my inner peace.

Feeling

with an overwhelming load of responsibilities resting on my shoulders. Don't get me wrong; my kiddos are the source of my happiness. It's just that there are certain aspects, unrelated to the kids, that don't quite align with my vision, dreams and goals.

Anxiety and despair, have been distant echoes, once constant shadows, have drifted away with the sands of time. Still, caught in a loop, making the same choices repeatedly. It no longer feels like the right path.

The Sunday Currently vol. 8

Recapping the week

It's been one hectic week, juggling work from home and family duties! The days were filled with process automation configurations and other work-related stuff, all while helping the kiddos prepare for their exams.

Last Friday was a bit of a rollercoaster with news about the Taal Volcano smog situation and a surprise class suspension. The kids left for school, then came back home in a hurry!

My eldest son kicked off his karate classes last Sunday. Despite his initial shyness and introverted nature, he's taking small steps toward making new friends, and it's truly heartwarming to see.

While he was busy with his class, I took my youngest to the optical shop to get him a brand-new pair of eyeglasses. The poor kid had a little mishap with his old ones! After returning home, my husband treated us to a delightful family pizza night. We gathered around to enjoy the movie "Blue Beetle" together, creating special memories with the entire family.

To top it all off, our teenagers came over for the weekend, allowing us to spend quality time together, making it extra special. It was a much-needed break from our busy schedules. It's moments like these that make all the chaos worthwhile!

Needing

I'm itching for a travel vacation and some paid time off! Planning sounds exciting, but lately, getting my leave approved feels like a real challenge.

Feeling

I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately, but I'm determined not to catch the flu. The kids even said they'd let me hit the gym. Guess that's my cue to power through!

Parenting Rollercoaster

Parenting is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded, especially when your kids start growing up. From dealing with school stuff that feels more like rocket science to surviving dramas, every day is really an adventure.

But you know what keeps me going? It's the never-ending patience and understanding that motherhood demands. It's those tireless discussions about anything and everything. From superheroes, marvel legends, video games, animes, friendships - to school crushes - to future dreams. It's being there, no matter how hectic life gets, to listen, guide, and celebrate their highs and lows.
Sure, it can be a wild ride, and believe me there are days when I feel like I could use a superhero cape. But the truth is, I wouldn't trade this life for anything in this world. These moments of growth, laughter, and even the occasional tears are what make our family's story so darn special - not perfect, yet beautiful and unique.

Cheers to all the amazing moms and dads out there — whether you're full-time work-from-home, stay-at-home, career-driven, or anything in between! You're rocking it, embracing the chaos, and loving every minute of it.   You're all absolutely wonderful and amazing! You got this!

The Sunday Currently vol. 7

Recapping the week

I'm considering adding this to my journaling habits. Alongside the video updates I share exclusively on Facebook and TikTok, I want to keep a record of my weekly activities. Fingers crossed, I can maintain this consistently.

The kids were mostly home with coughs and colds, leading to another visit to their pediatrician. We also got a chance to check out Mom's newly renovated house, which the kiddos absolutely love. They even got to meet Cookie, my sister's adorable black Shih Tzu, and they're smitten.

I managed to run a few errands in between, had several productive meetings, and made progress on various projects. All in all, it's been a super productive week, and I'm overflowing with gratitude for all the blessings.

CURRENTLY

Reading

"The One Minute Mother" by Spencer Johnson.

It's a quick and super helpful read, perfect for busy moms like me. This book is all about making the most of your time with your kids, even when you're swamped with work. It's packed with practical tips to create a loving and supportive environment for your kiddos while balancing your work from home – something I really need as a full time work-from-home mom!

Takeaways? Time management, a comfy home office, and self-care are musts. Keep expectations real, share chores, and be flexible. Connect with fellow work from home parents, keep learning, and celebrate wins. Be patient and tweak things as needed for a balanced gig!

Writing

this blog post. I'm trying to keep up with my blog, shooting for at least three posts a week. But I've been seriously struggling with ideas lately. Thinking about grabbing the kids and hitting the road for a bit to see if that gives me some much-needed inspiration!

Listening

Just vibing to Coldplay's "Fix You" right now. It hits me right in the feels and gives me those good chills. I've got mad love for this band - my kind of jam! 🎶❤️

Thinking

I've been thinking about these things lately:

1. Cracking the Lottery Code. You know, chasing that dream of hitting the jackpot and securing millions for my family's future.

2. Boss Talk for my Performance Review. I'm gearing up to have that "Boss Talk" for my performance review. It might not be a lottery win, but nailing the review is a solid bet for my future success.

3. Moving my Facebook posts over to my Blogger content. Lately, I've been posting my thoughts on Facebook pretty often. Not sure if Blogger has a mobile app now, though. Last time I checked, it wasn't directly from Google. Writing my blog contents from a mobile device would have been great!

Smelling

Nothing beats that cozy feeling of coffee brewing and its delicious aroma filling the air!

Wishing

to score a solid one-week paid time off, and I'm pretty convinced I've earned it!

Hoping

I'm dead-set on shedding some pounds and getting back in shape. I had my heart set on hitting the gym for months, but honestly, going solo stresses me out.

Wearing

'Loved', my John 3:16 statement shirt, paired with some checkered pattern shorts.

Loving

Absolutely loving our fresh coat of paint in the living and dining room! Plus, I managed to snag two kitchen cabinets to keep everything neat and organized – from the kids' lunchboxes to kitchen appliances. No more stress over piled-up bento boxes and unwashed pots in the kitchen.

Wanting

Desperate need of a larger, well-organized workspace for my work and scents business. I'm yearning for some privacy and uninterrupted time to brainstorm ideas for expanding my business.

Needing

I'm headed to the wellness clinic today with my sister. It's been weeks since I had my vitamin C and antioxidant shot, and I really need it with all the stress piling up at work and home.

Feeling

Quite stressed about the upcoming kiddos' exam week. They've been mostly absent this week due to coughs and colds, and the pediatrician advised bed rest. They've been attending their online tutor classes which is really helpful to prep them for next week. But catching up on lessons might be challenging.

Another thing is my youngest son's health. Thankfully, other serious issues have been ruled out - UTI, kidney problems, and stable blood chemistry after retests, which is great. However, his protein levels are high, so we're seeing another specialist to be sure. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying hard to stay sane and keep the worries at bay. 🙏

Embracing the Chaos: Life as a WFM Mom with Style

Being a full-time work-from-home mom is like a never-ending marathon, and believe me, I've got my running shoes on! My days are a whirlwind of tasks – from leading my team with enthusiasm to juggling multiple projects, all while proudly being mom to my energetic boys.p

Picture this: cooking, cleaning, laundry, and school prep all thrown into the mix. It's a recipe for chaos, right? Well, not exactly.

Here's the surprising twist: when my sons are peacefully asleep, I morph into a night shift ninja, tackling my work with determination.

My day starts early, a few hours before midnight. I prep for work while ensuring the boys are ready for school. Morning brings work mode with deadlines and meetings, but I've mastered this balancing act. A well-structured routine keeps it all on track.

When the boys return from school, it's time to pivot once more for some quality time then I’m off to bed.

Is it overwhelming? Absolutely. But here's the deal – I'm not just surviving; I'm thriving.
So, to all the work-from-home wonder womoms out there – you're not alone in this crazy balancing act. It's wild, chaotic, and sometimes just plain nuts, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Keep being awesome!

Boundaries Matter

We’re in the arena of emotional wellbeing, armed with the shield of self-preservation. It's not about barricading ourselves from connection, but about setting boundaries that shield our hearts from unnecessary pain.

We've learned through life's twists and turns that not everyone who knocks on our door brings goodwill. It's a matter of honor, of knowing our worth, and protecting the sanctuary of our emotions.

By guarding against hurt and desertion, we're not shutting out love; we're inviting in the genuine, the kind-hearted, and the steadfast. We're saying, "If you want a place in my life, show me you'll treat it with respect and care." 🌟🤝

Rally behind the wisdom of boundaries, let's celebrate the strength in guarding our hearts, and let's champion the power of saying "no more" to those who won't honor our worth. Are you part of the league of boundary-defenders, and march forward with self-respect as armor? Remember, there's always strength in self preservation.

Heart Code Matters

Ground rules – treat hearts like precious gems! Don't play games, don't be reckless, and most importantly, don't let anyone mess with yours. Spread love, not heartbreak! No Recklessness Allowed!

We're talking a language understood by the bravest, the ones who choose respect over recklessness. You see, each heartbeat is a rhythm, a symphony of emotions and dreams. So, let's make a pact: no more emotional roller coasters, no more reckless rides.

Imagine a world where hearts are treated like the most delicate treasures – where honesty and kindness reign supreme. And guess what? It starts with us. Together, we craft a heart-guarding shield, a force field against negativity, and a haven for love and understanding.

Spread this Heart Code far and wide. Let it be a lighthouse for those lost in the stormy seas of relationships. Together, we redefine love as an art of care, not chaos, and create a world where hearts are cherished like rare jewels. #HeartGuardians #SpreadTheLove #HeartCodeMatters

The Sunday Currently vol. 6

CURRENTLY

Reading

Onboarding documents from our Therapists. I've been assigned to work on our Therapy account alongside my main role in Customer Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our ever-evolving company.

Writing

a simplified Therapist Progress Roadmap.

Listening

to the soothing hum of the air conditioner.

Thinking

of planning out my agenda for next week. Luckily, Monday's a holiday, so the kiddos get a break from school. I'm already brainstorming how to prep their school lunches and snacks for the remaining four days. 😅🍱📅

Smelling

Coconut Passion. I asked my sister to grab me a Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion fragrance mist during her visit to the mall about two weeks ago. Life's been so hectic that I haven't even had a moment to unbox my treats. Oh, and I couldn't resist grabbing a travel-sized pack and fragrance mist of Bare Vanilla! I really love fragrance scents.

Wishing

I've been dreaming of a family vacation abroad, but life's been a whirlwind lately. The kids are back to in-person school, and I'm swamped with work. There's just so much to juggle right now.

Hoping

to win the lottery though I haven't even buy one. It would be a dream come true, allowing me to enjoy life without constantly stressing over expenses. It's one of the challenges of freelancing; as a contractor, you can lose your contract at any time due to unforeseen events. The uncertainty keeps you on your toes; you never really know what's coming.

Wearing

a white "Be Still" shirt paired with Aztec-print boxer shorts.

Loving

the food supplement drink I picked up a few weeks back. Avocado Freshies and Coffee Bean flavors are my absolute favorites! 🥑☕😋

Wanting

to teleport and whisk my family away to Tokyo, Japan. A visit to Tokyo Disneyland would be incredible; my kiddos would be over the moon and would absolutely adore it! Not sure where that idea came from (lol), but it sounds amazing! 💖

Needing

A whole week of paid time off sounds fantastic, doesn't it? Yet, as a freelancer, my income is tied to the hours I put in - no work, no pay. It would be amazing to be recognized with a week off for a job well done, or even better a salary boost. I can't recall the last time I had one; I think it was back in 2020.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to my company, and I genuinely love my job. It's just that a little recognition would mean the world. I wholeheartedly believe I've earned it.

Feeling

immensely grateful for every blessing that comes our family's way, regardless if big or small. It's heartwarming to witness my kids growing into responsible individuals.

Just a few days ago, I discovered that my 10-year-old son has set up his own alarm to get ready for school so they won't be late. It's a significant milestone. He's making impressive progress by actively engaging in group activities and showing initiative in attending tutor classes to get help with his assignments. To be honest, it's becoming a challenge I can't handle alone. With my nighttime work schedule while they sleep, and continuing to work until they head to school, there's barely any time left for me to assist with their assignments. Thank God for their tutor class.

I'm confident my youngest son will find his way too. What truly matters is that they're developing their personalities and becoming more responsible each day. For me, that's more than enough... 🙏💕👦📚

Spreading Smiles Through Unexpected Heartfelt Messages

I've got an awesome story to share that put a big old grin on my face. So, here's the scoop:

I just received a message from a former team member, and it started with a bit of humor - "OA" or overacting, to be precise! Now, that got me laughing, but what came next was even better - a heartfelt message of gratitude.

Now, don't get me wrong; I've received messages before, but this one was different. It's not every day that a former teammate reaches out in such a touching way.

What struck me most was how the values and approaches we discussed during our time working together left a lasting impression. She mentioned that during a chat with the CEO, she couldn't help but recall our conversations. It got me thinking about how the little pearls of wisdom, methodologies and discipline we share can have an impact that ripples far and wide, even into unexpected places.

I genuinely appreciated the message and, more importantly, the sentiment behind it. It's a reminder that the small things we do in our roles can make a big difference in the lives of our colleagues. Plus, it reinforces the power of expressing gratitude.

Now, here's something important: The message mentioned a bit of hesitation about reaching out unexpectedly. Well, let me tell you, NEVER HOLD BACK FROM SHARING YOUR APPRECIATION. Your words, even when unexpected, can light up someone's day. Just like this message did for me.

Let me raise a virtual toast to those beautiful moments of gratitude and to all the wonderful souls who take the time to say, "Thank you." It truly means the world. And to the awesome person who sent me that heartfelt message - a huge "Thank you" right back at you! 💗

Show Don’t Tell

Time to crank up the volume on the epic saga called "Show, Don't Tell!" Your actions? They're like the blockbuster movie that leaves everyone speechless.

Imagine this: you're the director, the star, and the scriptwriter all in one. Every step you take, every choice you make – it's all part of your Oscar-worthy performance.

True pals?
They're the first ones in line, popcorn in hand, giving you a standing ovation for your life's masterpiece. They'll be clapping like crazy. And those skeptics? They might as well be stuck in a silent movie, 'cause your actions? They're speaking in IMAX surround sound! Don't waste your energy – they've got earplugs in, anyway!

So, let's keep painting the town with actions, dazzling the world with brilliance, and never mind the critics who've got their ears plugged with negativity. Your show's the one worth watching!
Keep being amazing!

You still are a WonderWoMom. ❤️

You know, being a full-time work-from-home mom, and juggling side hustle online business, there are times when I doubt myself...

I feel like I'm not doing enough.
I worry I'm not giving enough.
I wonder if I'm being enough.

It's a challenge to keep up.
Between their needs,
Their constant demands,
It can get overwhelming.

Sometimes, as a mother, I question myself...

Am I providing enough for everyone?
Am I patient enough with them?
Am I putting in enough effort?

The never-ending laundry,
The cooking that never stops,
And the never-clean house
...it all piles up, doesn't it?

There are moments when I question if I'm loving them enough,
If I'm caring for them enough,
If I'm truly there for them enough.

The pressure can be immense,
It's like there's this invisible weight on my shoulders,
The stress can feel suffocating, it always likes to tag along.
And that mom guilt, it's always lurking.

But here's the kicker, my friend – despite all these doubts and worries, there's one thing I know for sure…

I love them with all my heart.
I pour everything I have into them.
And you know what? For me, that's more than enough.

Because, amidst all the chaos, the running around, and the endless to-dos, there are those precious moments when they smile, when they hug you tight, and when you realize that, yes, you are doing enough. Your love, care, and presence are making a difference. You're juggling so much, yet you're still their superhero.

So, even when you doubt yourself, remember that your love shines through. You're a mother who gives her all, and that, my dear, is nothing short of amazing. You still are a WonderWoMom. ❤️

Unsung Heroes of Love and Family

Ever wondered who the unsung heroes of love and sacrifice are? Have you met some incredible people who redefine what it means to be a family?

Step parents step up with hearts full of love and unwavering spirits where blended families come with unique challenges. They embrace their role with open arms, choosing to support, uplift, and nurture their stepchildren as if they were their own. It's a journey that demands immeasurable strength.

They choose a road where love isn't about genes, but about having a big heart. They make sacrifices that often fly under the radar, their hard work not getting the credit it deserves. But let me tell you, they make a a huge impact - a massive difference. Step parents craft connections with patience and genuine care, proving that family is more than just genes. They show that family goes beyond DNA.

Big shoutout to all the step moms and step dads out there who stepped up as guiding lights, comforting souls, and loving hearts – you rock! Your journey is one of courage, compassion, genuine care, patience and boundless love. You embody the role of selfless warriors. Kudos to you!

Reflections on 'The 5 Dysfunctions' Workshop

So, I just wrapped up this virtual seminar/workshop on "The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team," and let me tell you, it was like a lightbulb moment for me. The whole vibe was pretty chill and laid-back, which made diving into the nitty-gritty of team dynamics way more interesting.

First off, trust – they hammered home how insanely important it is. Like, if you don't have trust among team members, you're basically building on a shaky foundation. It got me thinking about how I can be more open and real with my team. You know, letting the guard down and being authentic.

Then there's the idea that conflict isn't necessarily a bad thing. I mean, we all hate disagreements, right? But this workshop flipped that idea. They said conflict, the healthy kind, where everyone's got their say, can actually lead to kickass decisions. I'm seeing my fear of clashes in a new light now – they're like a workout for better teamwork.

Commitment was another bomb-drop. They said it's not enough to nod along in a meeting and then secretly not be on board. Like, you gotta voice your opinions, but once the decision's made, you're all in. Made me reflect on those times when I've kinda held back after not getting my way. It's time to either get with the program or speak up and get on board.

And get this – holding each other accountable is gold. It's not about pointing fingers when someone messes up, but more like pushing each other to do our best. I'm guilty of letting stuff slide to avoid drama, but now I'm thinking, maybe a little healthy nudge is what the team needs.

Last but not least, results. The big picture stuff. It hit me that individual glory is cool and all, but if the team as a whole isn't killing it, what's the point? So, I'm reevaluating how I contribute to the team's goals, making sure my efforts jive with what we're all trying to achieve together.

Bottom line, this workshop was a game-changer. No fancy suits or uptight presentations, just real talk about how to make teams work like a charm. I'm walking away with this new perspective on trust, conflict, commitment, accountability, and results, and I'm stoked to put these insights into action with my own team.

The Sunday Currently Vol. 5

CURRENTLY

Reading

Scrolling through this Threads feed is really soothing. It's like a throwback to when Twitter was all chill and laid-back. I used to just spill my thoughts without a care, not bothered about who was reading. But man, things took a nasty turn as time went on. The whole vibe got toxic, and I was like, "Nah, I'm out." So, I took a break from the Twitter world for a while.

Writing

Chillin' on this Sunday, kicking it on the current volume of The Sunday Currently for my blog post entry. I had big plans to make this a regular gig for my blog posts, but truth be told, finding time to work on my blogs has been a struggle. Life's just been all over the place.

Listening

Jamming out to the husband's lead guitar strums echoing from his recording studio while I'm working on this blog post.

Thinking

I've been racking my brain about scoring some passive income. Got a bunch of ideas swirling around, but honestly, I'm stuck in decision limbo. Thinking of snagging a coach to help me figure out which road to take.

Smelling

the homemade Strawberry Kisses room and linen spray I whipped up a few months back. Seriously diggin' the way it makes our air-conditioned room smell.

Wishing

Gotta figure out how to turn my money into some sweet passive income or maybe even grow it into valuable assets.

Hoping

to get the final thumbs-up on my kiddo's lab test results. This was round three to rule out that pesky UTI. So relieved to see his health has made major strides from a couple of weeks back. Thank you PapaGod.

Wearing

Rockin' a black Mickey shirt and some cool checkered boxers today

Loving

My heart's full watching the kiddos' excitement as they can't stop blabbering about their day. Super fun Sunday – hit the mall after my youngest one's lab tests. Lunch at Max's rocked! Thrilled to see them both clean their plates and even ask for seconds. Miniso shopping haul after, and then a blast at Tom's World. Avengers and Slam Dunk action figures were the target, but they scored just under 2000 tickets. Their haul? A cool stash of Detective Conan pens, NBA pens, a husky keychain, and a bunch of alphabet erasers. Not too shabby! Next round, champs!

Also diggin' this new supplement drink – it's yogurt with a twist of lemon and cucumber.

Wanting

Trying to wrap my head around our travel plans for this year, but I'm in a totally torn about whether to stash that cash for the business instead.

Needing

Craving a chill spa session right now.

Feeling

Feeling pretty upbeat this week about juggling full-time mom duties with working from home. The kiddo's onto the second week of school, and unlike last year's struggle without any extra hands, I've found a groove. Last school year was a turning point, so fingers crossed for a smoother ride this time around!

Unapologetically You

Your vibes, your quirks, your epic uniqueness – they're all part of the awesome package that is YOU.

True friends? They're like your personal mind-readers, your heart's secret keepers. You don't need to write a user manual for them; they've got your wavelength dialed in!

And those who raise an eyebrow, those who need footnotes and annotations? Guess what? They might need GPS to catch up with your orbit! Don't sweat it, though. You're not here to convince skeptics or win over the doubtful. Your tribe? They're already on your wavelength, dancing to your rhythm.

Time to drop some wisdom: save your breath. Your true friends already get you, no explanation required. And those who doubt? Well, they're on a different planet anyway! Keep shining your awesome self, no justifications needed!

Rock on! Just shine, and let your true friends be your chorus, singing your praises without needing a lyric sheet.
