Somewhere in the middle of a Love story

Don’t give me that look,
overcast,
gray stare over a soul,
it wont last,
power shift
is it enough to entice you?
say I don’t bite… and then bite you?
bow down, so I can un-knight you,
annoyed
disgusted
love rusted,
or did it
maybe I trusted it to much
to admit it,
trusted you,
trusted us,
trusted things to much,
rotate says the earth to its axis
sleep says the moon to the sun like magic
seems everything changes even bad habits,
like undressing your soul to less then silk fabrics…
We hold on to.. moments…
memories choking breathe
out of the next moment,
intoxication,
taking second best,
when we should be waiting…
I want to feel something,
wish I could cry,
but no condensation drips from my eyes,
walls to thick, to much installation,
pink roses, cold noses,
fresh winter air,
I sit by the fire
like solitaire without the aces,
like happiness without the faces,
like time traveling without the places,
I believe in love,
although we’ve never met…
I know without knowing…
I waited for the best……
