2023 Year End Reflections

Planning my blog year-end recap for 2023, I stumbled on my kids’ photos. Their faces, a little sharper now. How time flies.

I never got to write my 2023 recap. So here I am, drafting this on 9/29/25, but posting it backwards to 2024 for memory’s sake.

January

Celebrated the husband’s birthday with family and friends. It’s an intimate gathering.

Had a few deliveries from my online shopping. So I did a lot of unboxing which I wasn’t able to upload really.

Also had so many errands here and there.

Been juggling with my night work, entrepreneur and full time mom by day. My kids are always my priority. I could never miss their foundation day. My youngest son’s class won. It’s nice to see my kids enjoying the school fair and bonding with their friends and classmates.

.

February

Started the month unboxing my new parcel deliveries which again I’m unable to upload my unboxing videos.

 .

Started taking my TikTok affiliate program seriously. There's a dang future in it, I have seen it. My online store revenue is starting to climb up.

Also met with a previous colleague. We bonded over morning breakfast at mcdo southwoods then samgyup for lunch. Time is short but we had to leave.

We had a vacation in Baguio where we stayed at Azalea hotel. The kids enjoyed our stay. There was a lot of walking. But it was really fun and memorable family bonding.

Celebrated my birthday at home with close friends and family.

March

I pranked my eldest son about Pokemon. It was a nice laugh. But at the end of the day, he enjoyed it as well. Started planning to declutter. There’s just so many things messing up our house. It’s just giving a negative aura.

Too bad, I got banned by TikTok for its promo ads for 10 years. Seriously!?!?!

Celebrated stepson’s birthday with family at home. We did some roadtrip and mall hopping.

It’s kids career week. They have been busy at school and they wore their career costumes.

April

We had a staycation at Tagaytay. It was just chill and relaxation. We went to Paradizoo as well so the kids enjoyed the animals. We had lunch at Jaytees.

My eldest son had a performance task in Mapeh where he had to sing a song. Given that we have a recording studio. It was really an advantage for him. He got a high score. And of course, i’m a one proud mom seeing my introverted son nailing the count on me song by bruno mars.

May

We had a pool party at home. We just set up the inflatable pool at our backyard. It was fun.  The kids enjoyed it a lot.

We celebrated multiple birthdays and commemoration this month. It’s a month long celebration.

First time I brought my youngest son to an optical shop. He needs some pair of specs.

June

My sons’ birthday month. We celebrated my youngest son’s birthday at home. I ordered his favorite foods. It was a minecraft birthday party theme.

First out of the country of the kids. We travelled to Singapore with my sister. and stayed for 6 days at Ramada hotel. It was actually a nice stay. The kids enjoyed it because our hotel is near from grocery store, mall, etc. it was just so convenient.

July

Kids enrolled for karate class. It was great although they were having difficulties initially. My eldest loved it while the youngest found boredom with it.

August

Preparation for back to school classes. We went to their school to take their id photo. And when it’s the first day of their back to school classes, it felt nostalgic again.

It was the kids’ Buwan ng Wika so they wore their barong tagalog which btw is getting smaller now. They also had their friendship day.

September

Major bathroom renovation happened this month.

My eldest still training karate while the youngest decided not to pursue.

October

Enrolled the kids to online art classes to improve their drawing skills. My youngest seems to love it.

Welcomed our 2 furr husky babies Coco and Cheeky. We love the energy and vibes they bring to our home.

November

Been busy taking care of our huskies. Also been very busy preparing gifts for Christmas.

Celebrated my mom’s birthday at their house. The kids enjoyed seeing the Christmas setup in the house.

December

So yeah, I bought a white snowy Christmas tree that the kids were requesting. We decorated the house with decors. And they helped me set up everything. It’s kind of nice doing it with all our kids.

We had fun at Enchanted Kingdom. It was long tiring walks. It was also sunny and hot so it’s kind of hot and humid. But the kids still enjoyed it.

First time we did gingerbread house. It was my entry for our company’s Christmas activity. I prepared it with my stepdaughter. And we enjoyed building it. I didn’t win but the experience making it with the kids is worth treasure.

The kids also had their Christmas party at school. They were like mini santas giving away their christmas gifts to their classmates and teachers. They had so much fun.

Our Christmas holiday is superb. It was really full of happiness and love. I have been manifesting a loooong holiday leave after all the work these past few weeks. I truly deserve a long break. And thanks to my company, they gave it to me. Just so grateful I’m being taken cared of and valued.

Wrapped up 2023 with all the feels! Thankful for the abundance, adventures, laughter, wins, lessons, and love that defined the past year.

From epic family travels to the kiddos' first flight, these moments are the real MVPs. But what matters most are the moments of pure quality time with the family. Whether blowing candles on birthdays or rocking out at other cool events. These are the stories we'll be telling for years.

So that is it for my 2023. A lot happened. Some firsts for the kids and me. Yet it was a memorable one. Cheers to awesome chapters of 2023 and the blank pages waiting for our story in 2024!
